Vernon Kay allegedly only told wife Tess Daly about his secret text exchanges with glamour model Rhian Sugden 24 hours before the story broke.
Despite claiming yesterday the Strictly Come Dancing presenter had been well aware he was back in contact with busty Rhian - who he was caught messaging in 2010 - sources have reportedly insisted she was left in the dark until just a few days ago.
“Tess had no idea Vernon was swapping messages with Rhian over many months," they told The Sun.

"She would never have allowed that — it’s disgusting to her after that woman came close to destroying their marriage before."
Insiders have claimed Vernon is now fighting to save his 13 year marriage: “But he has come clean over the last 24 hours and shared everything with her to try and save their marriage.”
Vernon yesterday denied anything inappropriate happened between himself and the model and claimed they were only in touch because she had some "information," about the text scandal six years ago.

He claimed: “I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication. I was merely trying to find answers to questions I’ve had since 2010.”
He added that Tess “is aware of everything that has been discussed with Rhian”.
Last night he pulled out of hosting The One Show where he had meant to be filling in for Matt Barker , with claims he was holding "crisis talks" over the future of his marriage.
“She can’t believe he has allowed Rhian to become a factor in their marriage again. She’ll forgive him eventually but it’s going to take a long time to get things back on track," a source told The Sun.
