Vernon Kay 'told Tess Daly about Rhian Sugden texts 24 HOURS before scandal broke'

Vernon Kay allegedly only told wife Tess Daly about his secret text exchanges with glamour model Rhian Sugden 24 hours before the story broke.

Despite claiming yesterday the Strictly Come Dancing presenter had been well aware he was back in contact with busty Rhian - who he was caught messaging in 2010 - sources have reportedly insisted she was left in the dark until just a few days ago.

“Tess had no idea Vernon was swapping messages with Rhian over many months," they told The Sun.

Vernon Kay and Tess Daly have been rocked by texting scandal

Rhian Sugden allegedly contacted Vernon in December

"She would never have allowed that — it’s disgusting to her after that woman came close to destroying their marriage before."

Insiders have claimed Vernon is now fighting to save his 13 year marriage: “But he has come clean over the last 24 hours and shared everything with her to try and save their marriage.”
Vernon yesterday denied anything inappropriate happened between himself and the model and claimed they were only in touch because she had some "information," about the text scandal six years ago.

The busty blonde was embroiled in a scandal with the presenter in 2010

He claimed: “I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication. I was merely trying to find answers to questions I’ve had since 2010.”

He added that Tess “is aware of everything that has been discussed with Rhian”.

Last night he pulled out of hosting The One Show where he had meant to be filling in for Matt Barker , with claims he was holding "crisis talks" over the future of his marriage.

“She can’t believe he has allowed Rhian to become a factor in their marriage again. She’ll forgive him eventually but it’s going to take a long time to get things back on track," a source told The Sun.

Vernon was said to be in crisis talks with Tess last night

“He needed to be with Tess [tonight] for them to talk through exactly what had happened.

“It clearly wasn’t the right time for him to be presenting a family teatime show."

Kanye West Entered Full Dad Mode By Dressing Up As The Easter Bunny

Being a dad isn’t always glamorous, but Kanye West has embraced even the goofiest parts of fatherhood.

Video taken from Kim Kardashian and Kyle Jenner’s Snapchats show Kanye and Tyga wearing white bunny suits for the kids, who absolutely love their getups.
It looks like Tyga is the one dabbing in the bunny costume with cartoon eyes, while Kanye’s costume has black eyes (you can tell by how literally all pants fit Kanye the same way, even rabbit pants).Look at North’s face! There is no purer delight than seeing your dad become Easter Incarnate.

Justin Bieber Went Skinny Dipping And Has The Butt Pic To Prove It

Justin Bieber had a few days off between concerts, so he spent them doing what any 22-year-old superstar would do: swimming naked in the wilderness.Bieber posted a photo of himself amid a pristine natural landscape over the weekend. He looks like he’s contemplating life’s mysteries while staring out into a gorgeous lake and evergreen treeline — all while wearing precisely zero clothes. The photo was taken by John Shahidi, CEO of the app company Shots and Bieber’s BFF du jour. The pair also apparently went fishing during their time off, though they both wore clothes for that.Bieber will return to the stage tomorrow (March 29) in San Diego, CA, presumably clothed again.

21 Stunning Pics That Prove Cole Sprouse Is A Legit Photographer

Cole Sprouse, star of Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, has three Instagram accounts. On @camera_duels, he posts pics of fans not-so-discreetly taking photos of him. @Sprousemasterworks is devoted to fan art of him and twin brother Dylan Sprouse. The @colesprouse handle is reserved for Sprouse’s personal photography, which is SO GOOD, you guys.

“This account is not funny at all and is, in fact, very sad,” Sprouse wrote nearly two years ago, when he started @colesprouse. “No, but really. It’s my hope that these pictures will bring the same emotional responses as my other accounts.”

So far he’s posted over 600 photos, mostly portraits, landscapes, and some of his own modeling. He says he’s into “a lot of urban exploration photography, which is really just a fancy name for trespassing.” 😂

Sprouse’s photos pretty much speak for themselves, but he makes their message even stronger by adding his own ~deep~ thoughts. We rounded up a few of our favorite photos with his original caption written in italics underneath.

I don’t get tied to the tracks. Not by you, or her, or him, or even myself. I am the tracks, and you need me to get anywhere.

(And this one’s of Dylan’s longtime girlfriend, Dayna Frazer.)
No gem as valuable as a deep emerald pool. Pure and clear and ice cold, but watch your skin shine like the stones with each dip. You too can become gem if only you have the confidence for the plunge. The pressure and pain is worth the transformation. And I looked and I looked and I looked. He sat upon that hard chair he called a throne, but each year his posture worsened. And I smiled every time I lay upon the sands outside his castle, for those grains shaped around my own. My throne was earth, and look how much larger my kingdom was because of it.

The train narrated itself. It was a story of an earlier time, a story of western expansion and immigration. The cabins, the cars, the menus, the staff outfits, and even the Amtrak illustrations (Michael Schwab) harken to an American golden age. A golden age for white men that is.

Each minute was ticked in a grandfather clock. And I’ll admit, the timepiece was well oiled. It was wonderful, you know, to have new experiences within a theme of nostalgia.

The sun broke over the car around 6:45am. You want to spend as much time with daylight as possible in the winter. And considering each window was a nature documentary, let’s wake up early.
It’s time to go now.Fringe on the edge, call it a shear cliff face.Even at sundown, covered in shadow, I’ll make sure you can see me perfectly. It was an all-wood frame. The painting was old, but it still held the milky quality of that first oil coating. I could have seen it yesterday or a thousand years ago, and it would have introduced itself in the same way.I thought a dying structure would have been cold, but then the sun hit the rust, and the air was suddenly warm.Weeping willowRun through at full speedEven the trees got in their skeleton costumes for Halloween.Sapiens SapiensAnd even though there was no one there, I felt like I was interrupting a conversation.Always feeling local in an alien landscape.Lost me long agoBy the time I woke up the green grass had turned brown, the rooted trees had fallen flat, and that old warm wind now stung my face. I would have been more upset, but the landscape died in the prettiest palette. And even the rot smelled sweet.

Now I do a lot of urban exploration photography, which is really just a fancy name for trespassing, but I have never had quite an experience like that of today. … A gravestone lay lodged onto the shoreline, and I stared in disbelief. Then I became paranoid, and as I started to look at the other wave breakers, I realized this entire segment of the coast was made of only old tombstones.

As a sign of respect for the dead, let me repeat the words that remain etched upon this grave discarded and bodiless: “In loving memory of my dear son Bienvenido Fajardo. N.Y. Guard. Born October 29, 1897. Died September 8, 1918.” He was, and still is, turning 21.

Kim Kardashian Threw Chrissy Teigen A Baby Shower Catered By McDonald’s

As a supermodel with a gloriously unfiltered sense of humor, Chrissy Teigen tends to perfectly exude that cool, relatable vibe. So it only makes sense that her baby shower would channel her personality by being lovely and lavish … with a little bit of McDonald’s thrown in for good measure.

The mom-to-be — who’s expecting a baby girl with husband John Legend — was the guest of honor at a party thrown by Kim Kardashian over the weekend, which was amazingly catered by McDonald’s (stars: They’re just like us!). The guest list reportedly included Jenna Dewan Tatum, Erin Andrews, Minka Kelly, Kris Jenner, and Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, all of whom took to social media to spread the FOMO. Here are the very best pics and vids:

And Chrissy capped the night with a pic of her and her hubby, sharing a sweet “thank you” to her friends.
“We are so grateful to be surrounded by so many loving, kind, hilarious, generous, thoughtful beings. Feeling so lucky, so happy and so ready! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Kehlani Hospitalized After Apparent Suicide Attempt

Kehlani has been hospitalized following an apparent suicide attempt.

The 20-year-old R&B singer evidently posted a photo of her arm hooked up to an IV on Instagram early this morning, accompanied by a caption that suggests she’s recovering from attempting suicide. “Today I wanted to leave this earth,” it read. “Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point.”

She also apparently posted a photo of Partynextdoor sitting by her hospital bed with the caption “thank you for saving my life.”

Shortly after sharing the news, Kehlani deactivated both her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Kehlani had recently come under public scrutiny for appearing in a photo shared by her ex-boyfriend Partynextdoor on Instagram. The photo showed the two holding hands in bed, sparking rumors that she was cheating on Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, with whom she’d confirmed a relationship in January.

In her caption, Kehlani noted, “Don’t believe the blogs you read. No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person.”

She added, “God saved me for a reason, and for that…I must be grateful.. Cuz I’m not in heaven right now for a reason.”

Wentworth Miller Opens Up About Depression And Suicidal Thoughts In Candid Facebook Post

Most of the time, memes are hysterical ways for people to joke about topics on the Internet. From deciding the color of a dress to remixing a kid saying, “Damn, Daniel,” memes are a great way to laugh about trending topics online. Except when they’re not.

On March 28, Wentworth Miller, best known for his role as Michael Scofield on Prison Break, took to Facebook to explain why the memes about his apparent weight gain are anything but funny.

Miller candidly stated how he avoided the public eye in 2010 because “first and foremost, I was suicidal.” Miller explains how he “suffered in silence” and battled voices in his head that were encouraging him to take drastic measures.

“I’ve struggled with depression since childhood,” he wrote. “It’s a battle that’s cost me time, opportunities, relationships, and a thousand sleepless nights.”

In desperate need of comfort, Miller turned to food to help him cope with his mental heath issues. And then he says my personal favorite part of his entire post: “And I put on weight. Big f–king deal.” (I also loved that he censored himself when he certainly didn’t have a reason for doing so.)

Miller then delves into how he came across the hurtful memes and “news stories” — thanks to his mother’s “friend,” no less — and how those images made him struggle with his deteriorating mental health.

In perhaps his most powerful statement, Miller bluntly writes, “Long story short, I survived. So do those pictures. I’m glad.” That red shirt pic now serves as a reminder of all he’s gone through, all he’s battled, and all he’s achieved.

Miller concludes by urging those struggling, or those who know people who are struggling, to reach out to someone and open up
about what’s going on with them. He also links out to several helpful websites, including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

The LAD Bible, the Facebook page that shared the meme in question, responded to Miller’s post by apologizing and admitting they were wrong. “Mental health is no joke or laughing matter,” they wrote.

And it sounds like Miller has inspired them to better themselves as a media site, for they also stated, “We applaud your raw honesty and promise to now cover such matters in the responsible manner that our audience expects.”

It’s a breath of fresh air to see a well-known publication openly admit their mistake and strive to do better in the future. Let this be a reminder to us all that memes can have serious consequences.
If you or someone you know is dealing with depression, there are ways to get help. Find resources, tips, and immediate help at Half of Us, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK.

Troye Sivan Talks About Connecting With LGBTQ Fans: ‘It Gives Me Insane Amounts Of Joy’

Riding high off his anthemic new single “Youth,” Troye Sivan made a triple-threat appearance on The Late Late Show with a hilarious comedy sketch, a sweet interview, and a rousing live performance.

In the cute sketch, host James Corden plays a tired dad who asks his neighbor Troye to turn down the music. After Troye mistakes Corden for Kevin James (“You were amazing in Paul Blart: Mall Cop”), Corden insists he used to be a very “hip” DJ named Vinyl Richie who was hot on the funeral circuit back in the day.

Later in the show, Troye performed an energetic rendition of “Youth,” his first Top 40 hit.

In his first proper late night talk show interview, Troye chatted about his sexuality and recounted the story of how he recently helped a fan come out to her mom during one of his recent U.S. shows.

Selena Gomez Accepted Justin Bieber’s Invitation To His L.A. Concert

From the looks of it, she was standing in the front row with her eyes fixed on the stage. Is Selena just being a good friend and supporting her ex while he’s touring an album that’s mostly about her? Or is there something deeper at play here? Only two people on earth know right now.

Miley Cyrus Says She Chopped Up Hannah Montana And Buried Her In Her Backyard

Miley Cyrus hasn’t forgotten her Disney Channel roots. She’s just buried them for the time being.

The controversial pop star posted a heartfelt message on Instagram on March 24 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, Cyrus’s star-making vehicle. Donning a Hannah Montana-esque blond wig on the set of Woody Allen’s new Amazon series, Cyrus posted a screenshot of her text with former TV brother Jason Earles. “How insane,” she wrote. “10 years later still laying around in a blonde wig.”

Cyrus captioned the screenshot with an emotional message to the Hannah Montana cast and crew, writing, “Sending love to all my cast members on this anniversary… To the world it’s a celebration of 10 years but for us the journey began way before the world had any clue who the fuck any of us are.”

“Even though I feel disconnected to who I was at that time I will always feel eternally grateful for the opportunity and platform I was given,” she added.

It’s nice to see that even Cyrus gets nostalgic for her halcyon days. At just 11 years old Cyrus won the part of teen-turned-pop-star Miley Stewart on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. The premise was simple: Miley was an average tween girl who lived a double life as an internationally famous pop star. Hannah Montana catapulted Miley into the spotlight, but the pop star has since opened up about how damaging the experience was for her.

“I was told for so long what a girl is supposed to be from being on that show,” Cyrus candidly told Marie Claire last year. “I was made to look like someone that I wasn’t, which probably caused some body dysmorphia because I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn’t on that show, it was like, ’Who the fuck am I?'”

Despite Miley and Hannah Montana’s public falling out, the 23-year-old can still look back on her Disney days fondly. “Even though HM is chopped up into little tiny pieces and buried in my backyard she will always hold a very special place in my heart!” she wrote on Insta. “Celebrate this day with us! Get real drunk and remember #HM4EVR.”

Now there’s the Miley we know and love. Pour one out for Hannah Montana and Lilly Truscott, the truest of friends!

Here’s Video Proof That Ashton And Calum From 5SOS Are Hardcore Beliebers

On Wednesday, Justin Bieber wrapped up a three-night, sold-out residency at L.A.’s Staples Center for his Purpose World Tour, where pretty much everyone who’s anyone caught a glimpse of the action. His No. 1 fan, Kanye West? Check. A blonde-wigged Kylie Jenner? Check. Big Sean? Check. Even Bieber’s ex Selena Gomez? Yep, check.

Among the most enthusiastic of celebrity guests, however, were 5 Seconds of Summer bandmates Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood, who couldn’t resist catchy Bieber’s rainy spectacle. And lest you think they’re only casual “fans” who just showed up for a free night out, the two Aussies proved they’re bonafide Beliebers at heart by sharing a vid of them jamming out to “Baby.”
OK, true, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone in the world who can’t sing the “Baby” chorus off the top of their head (“Baby, baby, baby, ooooh” isn’t exactly a brain-bender), but dammit, Ash and Cal sang it with feeling. Sounds good, feels good.

Snoop Dogg Hilariously Narrated A Fight Between A Snake And A Nut-Bustin’ Squirrel

The next time someone tells you not to dream an impossible dream, just tell them this: Snoop Dogg’s animal-themed Planet Snoop is now a real, legit web series. And you know who made that happen? WE did, Internet! WE made this happen! And now the first fruit of our labor is here and it’s even more majestic than you ever could’ve imagined.

The idea for Planet Snoop stemmed from Plizzanet Earth, a parody the Doggfather made for Jimmy Kimmel Live throughout 2015. Fans loved it so much that they fiercely backed a petition to have Snoop narrate his own season of Planet Earth, but we ended up with something even better: his own series where he marvels in wide-eyed amusement at the weirdness of the animal kingdom.

The first episode, which debuted on Snoop’s weed-themed YouTube channel Merry Jane on Thursday, features Snoop narrating a fight between a squirrel and a snake. Initially, he’s all #TeamSnake, calling it an “easy win” for the serpent, but things soon take an unexpected turn.

“That squirrel belongs to a gang. That ain’t Alvin, Simon, or Theodore,” Snoop says with absolute conviction as the rodent starts gnawing on the snake “like a chicken wing.”

“If he can bust a nut, you know he can bust a snake head open,” Snoop observes. “I ain’t never seen no shit like this.” Neither have we, Snoop. Neither have we.

Lady Problems: Yakety Yak, Julie Delpy, and Sally Field Talk Back

Lady Problems is a weekly column that looks at how the entertainment industry — and its corresponding culture and constituents — is treating women in a given week. (Hint: It will almost always be “poorly.”) Every Friday, we’ll review the week’s most significant woman-centric conflicts, then provide a brilliant solution to each problem that nobody in Hollywood will ever listen to or enforce.

The Lady Problem: Elle interviewed very French person/writer/actor/director Julie Delpy this week about her new film, Lolo. Delpy — who, refreshingly, rarely gives one single fuck in interviews — was characteristically candid and impatient, specifically when it came to Elle’s line of questioning about how well Hollywood represents women over 40. “Listen, I don’t know because I don’t see every film,” she said, absentmindedly putting out her cigarette on the Mona Lisa’s forehead. “Some films do portray women in their 40s well, and some other films don’t. Some films are written by women, so maybe there’s a little more accuracy there. The truth is I don’t see a lot of movies.” Julie Delpy, her basket empty of fucks, does not have time for your “movies,” Elle.

Near the end of the interview, Delpy was asked to weigh in on the current conversation regarding female directors, and casually dropped this bomb: “I’ve never had help from anyone, ever. I’ve never had this great director who saw themselves in me, because I’m a French woman in Hollywood … And the few people who could have been mentors, instead they just stole my ideas.” “What?” asked the interviewer, which is the only appropriate response to such a claim. “I tried to engage bigger writers and directors to help me out and all they did was fuck me over,” explained Delpy. “Which I’m sure happens with men, too. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen to male directors. And, when you transcribe this, please say I’m laughing while saying this, because I think it’s very funny. But, you know, I think they realized I was never going to be able to make my World War II–Philippines movie because I’m a woman and no one would finance me. Maybe I would get the chance to be financed for a small romantic comedy, but a war movie by a 28-year-old woman about Japanese soldiers? No one was going to go for that. It’s easy to just steal an idea because it’s very safe.”

The Solution: First of all, let’s try to figure out what movie Delpy is referring to. Is she talking about 2005’s The Great Raid, starring Benjamin Bratt and one James Franco? 2006’s Letters From Iwo Jima? Corregidor, a 1943 film about the Japanese invasion of the Philippines? Is Julie Delpy a time-traveling immortal? I digress. It matters not what film Delpy speaks of; all that matters is that there are male directors out there, nonchalantly swinging their dicks around and poaching shit from women. I’m going to go ahead and assume that Michael Bay has stolen an idea from a woman or two in his lifetime, so let’s punish Michael Bay for the sins of his brethren. Whatever Michael Bay is working on right now (Transformers 5, because there is no God), he will halt production and transfer all rights to Julie Delpy. She will light the Transformers 5 script on fire in front of him, which will summon Satan, who was promised a cut of Transformers 5’s profits. Satan and Michael Bay will depart to the underworld to renegotiate their contract, while Delpy sprinkles the ashes on Megan Fox’s lawn as Megan Fox watches. Both will laugh while she does this, because they think it’s very funny. Delpy will then receive all of Bay’s funding and use it to make a big-budget documentary about the scourge of men stealing women’s intellectual property.

The Lady Problem: Much like Julie Delpy, Sally Field is a consummate No Bullshit Artist. In a new interview with Bustle, Field is asked the basic boilerplate questions about whether things are improving for women in Hollywood. When the interviewer suggests that things are on the up-and-up, Field “quickly cuts me off, and says that when it comes to things truly changing for female actors, ’I would be surprised if it does.'” “Talk is cheap, you know?” adds Field. “Yakety yakety yak … Pencils need to be put to paper, fingers need to be put to the computer … It’s really all about OK, now what?” Field, who at 69 years old is single-handedly keeping the pencil industry alive, goes on to indicate that, as a universe, we have totally failed her and should be ashamed of ourselves: “There just aren’t a lot of leads for almost-70-year-olds. It’s not like, ’all of these leading roles that have been in film for older women, why didn’t you do any of them?’ There haven’t been a whole lot of them. It’s very hard to find a good project … every now and again, there’s a flurry of a couple films, be they for older women or even for younger women, that are interesting, character-driven pieces. But they’re few and far between.”

The Solution: Yakety yakety yak, indeed. We as a planet have fucked up horribly by providing Sally Field with so few films that she had to be in The Amazing Spider-Man. I also can’t remember the last time I used a pencil, which is a terrifying indication that we are fast approaching the singularity. We need to cancel the world. This is the only solution. Say good-bye to your loved ones.

The Lady Problem: Zoe Kravitz, a talented and lovely human woman, has somehow ended up trapped inside the unholy fourth dimension that is the Divergent franchise. In an interview with the AP to promote the latest entry in the series, Allegiant, Kravitz vented about the specific brand of fuckery she’s had to put up with as a black woman in Hollywood; specifically, she’s tired of being typecast and pigeonholed. “People have tried to do that to me over and over again and I’ve been fighting it and fighting it,” said Kravitz. “I would get auditions and it would be like ’they want you to play the best friend.’ And it’s like ’why can’t I audition for the lead?’ Then it’ll be like ’OK now you’re the quirky black girl,’ or ’now you’re a hippie.’ I can play all kinds of people. I don’t have to play myself.” Though she did share one positive story — her role in 2007’s The Brave One was originally written for a “white Russian girl” — she put much of the impetus for changing the game on her fellow actors of color. “It’s our responsibility to say ’I’m not going to take the same role over and over again.’ I mean, of course actors gotta eat, but if it’s something you believe in, we have the power to break the stereotypes by (a) writing our own things and (b) saying ’no’ to the same thing over and over again … This industry is not colorblind, but I think actors can be.”

The Solution: Kravitz’s idea is a good one, but I’m not ready to let White Male Hollywood off the hook by assuming it can’t or won’t change. WMH just needs a taste of its own chalky, bitter medicine. Parallel to their paradigm-shifting efforts, Kravitz and her collective will ambush and Freaky Friday all of Hollywood’s white-dude studio heads, i.e., Harvey Weinstein and his similarly milky, hirsute peers. While inside the body of Harvey Weinstein, Kravitz will do a little naked dance around the Weinstein mansion to Dolly Parton’s “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” then get a hold of herself and green-light 367 films starring men and women of color. The 368th film she green-lights, titled Quirky Hippie White Russian Girl, will star Harvey Weinstein in the titular role. Kravitz, as Weinstein, will sign the contract in blood, consume an entire live octopus, then immediately exit Weinstein’s body.

The Lady Problem: Yesterday, Canadian radio host Jian Ghomeshi was acquitted of multiple sexual-assault charges because of “inconsistencies” in the stories of the women who accused him. According to reports, the case “involved complaints from three different women regarding incidents in 2002 and 2003, Ghomeshi was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of overcoming resistance to sexual assault by choking.” His acquittal is a horrendous and tragic verdict in and of itself, but it’s particularly nightmarish because it will likely discourage sexual-assault victims from coming forward in the future, compounding what’s already a major issue. The verdict has sparked a mountain of outrage on social media; actress Zoe Kazan, who regularly engages in feminist and activist dialogue on Twitter, weighed in by sharing her own awful experience with Ghomeshi.

The Solution: This problem is obviously much bigger than Hollywood; the victims’ stories, the rage-inducing verdict, and Kazan’s own experience (which will likely be echoed by other famous women who have come into contact with Ghomeshi) are microcosms of the way the world at large looks at and listens to and treats women, especially those who have the gall to speak up when they’ve been assaulted. The only solution is, of course, to put Ghomeshi in prison for the rest of his natural life, then promptly forget about him, only speaking of him when people ask for examples as to why sexual-assault survivors often wait to come forward or fail to come forward at all. Then we will force the entire planet to attend a months-long workshop on the insidiousness of gender-based discrimination and violence, the dangers of blaming or not believing the victim of a sex crime, and the importance of asking for and receiving consent.

Action Bronson Is Getting The Cookbook He Deserves

I’m not sure there’s anyone I’d rather see write a cookbook than Action Bronson, and now he’s doing just that. He’s a former chef. He’s a rapper with a distinguished way with words. He’s hilarious. He has his own show where he travels all over and eats all kinds of dishes.

Bronsalino will be packing all of those talents and experiences into the upcoming Fuck, That’s Delicious: An Annotated Guide to Eating Well, due out next year. Co-written with Rachel Wharton, a James Beard Award-winning food writer, the book will reportedly combine recipes with graphic art, food photography, pictures from Bronson backstage at shows, his handwritten lyrics and more.

“Fuck, That’s Delicious will capture all my food moments, many that I got to experience around the world while performing,” Bronson said in a statement, according to Pitchfork. “The book is definitely something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time, and I’m just happy that it’s coming to life.”

While we wait for the book, you can watch the first episode of the TV version of Bam Bam’s Fuck, That’s Delicious — it was a webseries only until the launch of Viceland last month — below.

J.K. Rowling Shares Two ‘Riddikulus’ Rejection Letters She Received

Even the world’s most successful authors were once practically begging for a publisher to mass produce their work. For example, Stephen King’s first novel, Carrie — which went on to sell over a million copies — was rejected a whopping 30 times before someone with half a lick of sense realized there was raw talent in King. And J.K. Rowling’s story is no different.

Before the planet met Harry Potter and followed his adventures at Hogwarts, Rowling’s book was rejected… and rejected… and rejected. She tweeted in 2015 she had “loads” of rejections before getting published. On March 25, she shared more of her rejection experience, and it’s a real eye-opener.
Harris’s novel was adapted for the big screen in a 2000 movie starring Johnny Depp and was nominated for five Oscars, by the way.

We Need To Talk About Ezra Miller’s Buff New Superhero Body

Let’s take a minute to appreciate Ezra Miller’s ripped new superhero body. In fact, we need to take several minutes.

I really like Miller. He’s a fantastic actor. Anyone who’s seen We Need To Talk About Kevin or The Perks of Being a Wallflower will tell you so. Last summer, he debuted his comedic chops in Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck, stealing the movie with one very awkward — and very illegal — sex scene.

He’s talented, for sure. But most importantly, he’s funny — oddly charming, even — which makes him the perfect person to portray The Flash ⚡️ on the big screen. Oh, and did I mention that Miller is super effing ripped and ready for the job?

The 23 year old showed up to the European premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in London on March 22 looking a little different than usual.

Miller cameos as the Scarlet Speedster in the new superhero flick, and is set to reprise the role in 2017’s The Justice League: Part One, which begins production in April, and his own solo film, The Flash, which is set for release in 2018. So his new superhero physique isn’t a total surprise. After all, he does have to stand among the likes of Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, and Ray Fisher. That being said, I never quite pictured him so clean-shaven and buff. It’s strange and yet so very right.

Initially, not every fan was keen on the casting of Miller as Barry Allen, especially with charmer Grant Gustin lighting up the silver screen as the speedster in the CW’s critically acclaimed Flash TV series. For many DC Comics fans the argument was that Miller simply didn’t look the part of Barry Allen — that he was far too scrawny and “indie” to play the Justice Leaguer.

Mind you, here’s what the actor looked like in July 2015:

However, it looks like Miller has been hitting the squat rack extra hard these past few months, because we’re pretty sure his pants are going to rip out due to the sheer size of his quads. All you haters can take a seat.

BECAUSE DAMN. I NEED TO SIT DOWN, TOO. 🔥🔥🔥

It’s a solid transformation for only a few months time. We can’t wait to hear all about his ~ diet ~ and ~ exercise routine ~ during his Justice League press tour.

A 12-Year-Old Boy Hit On Selena Gomez And Her Reaction Was Perfect

Have you ever wondered how you’d fare if given a shot to woo a celebrity with your best pick-up line? Most of us would probably fancy ourselves super suave charmers… even if the reality is we’d probably stumble over ourselves in a fit of awkwardness.

Not 12-year-old Max, though, who busted out a line so smooth that even Selena Gomez couldn’t resist it.

While visiting BBC Radio in London this week, host Cel Spellman gave listeners the chance to try out their best (read: cheesiest) lines on Sel, affectionately dubbed “one of the most sought-after women in the world.” Three lucky commoners got their shot at winning her over, but it was Max who stormed out the gate with the winning line: “Is your name Google? Because you’ve got everything I’m searching for.”

“Wow, impressive. That got my attention,” Selena admitted. “The turning 18 part may need to be a crucial part of me pursuing… but I’m very impressed.”

Check out the vid below to hear Sel’s hilarious reactions to the other listeners’ lines, and try not to cringe too hard.

Kanye West Danced His Heart Out At Justin Bieber’s Concert

Kanye West was in the audience at Justin Bieber’s Purpose tour show last night. Despite his reputation for, um, not being easily impressed, it looked like he was having a great time. On Snapchat, Kim shared a video of ’Ye dancing along to “What Do You Mean?” which, you may recall, he recently named his favorite song of 2015.

This isn’t the first time Kim has broadcast Kayne’s Belieber status to the world — last week, she shared a video of him dancing and singing along to the song in the car.

So, yeah, Kanye may be very different than us in some regards, but when it comes to Bieber, we’re all the same.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Hate Being Famous

I have been in the same room as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen approximately twice over the course of my lifetime. As someone whose parents used to employ the phrase “we’re going to take away your Mary-Kate and Ashley videos” as a staggeringly effective disciplinary tool, both of these encounters are indelibly scorched into my brain.

The first was when I was 16 and the Olsens were hovering on the precipice of 18, a moment creepy Internet countdown clocks had been heralding for years. My mom, recognizing that the threat of hurling the Olsens’ videos out an open window was waning in potency, dangled a new carrot before me: A visit to The Oprah Winfrey Show on the day the twins would be guests. I took more care selecting an outfit that morning than a neurosurgeon might take to prep before operating on the president; inexplicably, I landed on a bright red button-down and flared “nice pants,” an outfit a college freshman might wear for an interview to be an intern at McDonald’s corporate headquarters.

The Olsen twins, fledgling fashion moguls that they were, showed up on Oprah’s set wearing the kinds of designer ensembles that had been making me wish that I, too, had had the great fortune of being born part of a matching and highly lucrative set. Mary-Kate, the “free spirit,” was resplendent in a baggy boho dress; Ashley, the more “responsible” twin, sported a coiffed ponytail and a form-fitting but modest eggshell number that would have immediately edged me out of the running for the McDonald’s

internship. But what I still remember most about that day isn’t Mary-Kate’s incredibly heavy-looking earrings, or Ashley’s perfectly and inexplicably immobile side-bang. I remember how genuinely uncomfortable they seemed. Both hardly moved during the episode taping, except for a nearly imperceptible shift every time Oprah asked them what I now recognize as strangely probing questions about how much money they had (“We don’t like to talk about it”), or whether or not they actually ate food (“[That speculation] comes with the territory”), or what size clothes they wore (“Size? Um, we’re not sure”).

At one point, the audience was asked if they had any questions for the twins. Like a bat who’d been heretofore trapped in a very specific, Olsen-twin-themed version of hell and was thus only capable of recognizing and identifying the Olsen twins, I shot out of my seat and asked, “What’s your favorite memory from your career so far?” I expected them to tell some magical story about eating quiche out of berets atop the Eiffel Tower during breaks on the set of Passport to Paris, or to talk about how excited they were to film Holiday in the Sun at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, which, to 16-year-old me, seemed like an impossible dream: People paying you to look cute and kiss very tall boys on vacation. Instead, the two, in near unison, spoke wistfully about some recent, boring-sounding camping trip they’d taken with some of their

normie high school friends. I wouldn’t have believed them — it sounded like something their agent would have told them to say to sound “relatable” — except that it was the first time I’d seen their faces relax, the first time their answers weren’t filled with stiff talking points about being slimed at the Kids’ Choice Awards. I remember thinking to myself, seized by the sudden existential terror that comes with realizing your entire life has been a lie, “Mary-Kate and Ashley fucking hate being famous.”

The most disturbing part of this realization was that I thought I knew the Olsen twins; I felt like they belonged to me. These were two young women who’d built a near billion-dollar brand on oversharing, on making sure their legions of rabid fans felt like they were their actual friends. These were young women who’d put out a never-ending line of Barbie dolls, multiple book series, a line of bedroom furniture, a board game, a magazine called Mary-Kate and Ashley Magazine, a brand of toothpaste called Mary-Kate and Ashley Aquafresh, and they’d presided over a fan club that included regular postcards sent from Mary-Kate and Ashley–themed cruises (I had all of these things, except for the cruises, the attendance of which would likely have rendered my family permanently catatonic). These were young women who’d been told by some brilliantly deranged marketing exec that Mary-Kate was the

“fun twin” and Ashley was the “serious twin” at age 5, and never deviated from those roles, even at age 17, when they were forced to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show to promote an admittedly awful film that went on to recoup less than half its budget. What I realized on that fateful day, sitting mere feet from the Olsens in my terrible shirt, was that the Olsens were an illusion. Their lives were a surreal, Buñuelesque party at which everyone but them — especially their Svengali of a manager, Robert Thorne — was having fun. And I wasn’t invited.

Of course, to look at the way the Olsens have transmuted their career over the past decade or so, this much is obvious. Their 18th birthday — when the two took control of their own empire, another subject they once discussed with readily apparent glee — marked their slow but deliberate march into the shadows. Where the two once posed (faux) cheerfully for red-carpet photos and dutifully signed autographs for Regis and Kathy Lee, they now hide from the paparazzi behind massive and now-ubiquitous purses, shrouding themselves in layers of couture as if they were invisibility cloaks.

Neither Mary-Kate nor Ashley has appeared in a film or TV show in years, much less traipsed about on a branded cruise ship in years. Instead, they’ve dodged behind the scenes, where they design and pump out incandescently expensive and CFDA Award–winning fashion lines like The Row and Elizabeth and James, lines they’ve quite literally described as “masks to hide behind.” They give only rare, begrudging, and what their PR rep describes as “very concise” interviews on behalf of these flourishing businesses, interviews in which they insist reporters submit questions in advance and snap when they sense a diversion from the agreed-upon path. Recently, they refused to appear in the Fuller

House reboot, offering no explanation other than this hilariously opaque third-party quote months later from producer Bob Boyett: “Ashley said, ’I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17, and I don’t feel comfortable acting.’ Mary-Kate said, ’It would have to be me because Ash doesn’t want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us.'” Even more recently, Mary-Kate was married to Nicolas Sarkozy’s brother with the kind of secrecy usually reserved for black-ops assassinations.

Here’s the funny thing, though, and by funny I mean sort of tragic, and by sort of tragic I mean not as tragic as, say, the Syrian refugee crisis, but tragic in a sort of Marilyn Monroe way. This public distaste for fame has done the opposite of what the twins likely hoped it would do. The fervor for and fetishization of and fascination with the Olsens has increased exponentially in relation to their desire for us to stay the hell away from them. As a culture, we’ve never been thirstier for Mary-Kate and Ashley. The outcry over the twins’ refusal to do Fuller House has yet to die down, months after the announcement was made. The media are still clamoring for but a glimpse of Mary-Kate’s wedding ring, even if

that glimpse is obscured by packs of cigarettes and that omnipresent Starbucks cup. Entire “news” segments are devoted to picking apart a single, low-key red-carpet stomp-off from Ashley. And yesterday, more than 200 people funded a Kickstarter campaign to bring an exhibit called “The Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi” to New York.

Even before its funding was secured, the campaign was written up by everyone from the Daily Mail to Harper’s Bazaar; I,too, excitedly tweeted about it and plan on being first in line once it’s up. Both the art (painted by Chicago-based artist Laura Collins) and the future exhibit (dreamed up by Brooklyn’s THNK1994 Museum curators/comedians Matt Harkins and Viviana Olen) are wildly funny and insightful: “Laura’s paintings tell the story of how, using a patented system of approximately 700 lbs of beautiful clothes, strategically high collars, face sized bags, and tiny house sized sunglasses, the Olsens are able to hide themselves from unwanted photographers,” reads the Kickstarter page. “In fact, you can never be sure a photo of an Olsen is actually an Olsen. It could just be a showroom rack of unattainable clothes rolling down the sidewalk.”

This is the type of humor we’ve been lobbing at the Olsens for years (myself and the cast of Fuller House included): light mockery underscored with a sort of pained sense of rejection. Why hast thou forsaken us, Mary-Kate and Ashley? Was it really all so bad?

Well, here’s the other funny-tragic thing. After I paid my depressing visit to Oprah and the twins back in the early aughts, I remember falling down a rabbit hole of old Mary-Kate and Ashley interview clips. I did it again in preparation for this piece, and concluded my in-depth detective work with the same findings: These two have always fucking hated being famous. Take, for example, this old CNN interview from 1992. The twins are 6 years old, dressed in identically horrible hats, fidgeting as they’re asked about their “careers.” “By 6:30 at night, the twins were allowed to kick off their shoes and relax for this CNN interview,” explains the reporter in an unintentionally Vonnegut-esque voice-over that ominously cuts off during a quick aside about child-labor laws. Though Mary-Kate and Ashley demonstrate actual childlike behavior for a brief moment — after Ashley giggles mischievously about spilling apple juice on Mary-Kate’s outfit, Mary-Kate shoots back, “Well, next time I’m gonna dump it all over you, Ashley” — the two go flat when asked if they’d like to be “normal children who don’t work.” “No,” they both reply, somewhat unconvincingly. They don’t elaborate. Things get darker when the reporter asks, “What do people say to you when they come up to you?” The twins both break into high-pitched,
almost mean-spirited imitations of their fans. “Can I have your autograph? Can I have your autograph?” whines Ashley. “Can I take a picture?” sing-songs Mary-Kate.

Old interviews with their business manager Thorne are filled with similarly disturbing quotes, quotes that provide pretty satisfying explanations as to why Mary-Kate and Ashley ran screaming into their giant coats as soon as they were able. In a 2002 Forbes piece called “The Human Truman Show,” Thorne describes the twins as “property now, aside from being people with a heartbeat” and explains that the girls’ business plan is “that I decide which direction we are going to go, and we do it.” Even more troubling is this quote from Andy Tennant, who directed the Olsens in their single big-screen hit, It Takes Two. “There are no real [adult] twin movies,” he says. “Have you ever seen one? They should just go away and come back as one person. A hybrid. They could call her just ’Kate.'”
The second — and likely the last — time I was in the same room as the Olsens was about a year ago. I’d been invited to a private meet-and-greet through work, and even with my years-ago revelations about the Olsen twins’ considerable misery and total opacity, on some level I still believed that I knew them, that I understood them, that they were, to put it in felon-speak, mine. The two were in Chicago to promote The Row, and were milling about a small suburban boutique, offering faint compliments to the rich, middle-aged women trying on their clothes, when I walked up to them. They were as small and wan as I remembered, dressed in head-to-toe black with their soaking-wet hair tucked into their clothes (a look I’ve since tried to cop but which just makes me look like I fell asleep in a polluted lake). Mary-Kate was again wearing the kind of giant vintage earrings that looked like they might cause

her neck to collapse in on itself, and before I could stop myself or even really comprehend what I was doing or why I was doing it, I was reaching out and touching one of them. “I love these earrings,” I said, my hand right below her earlobe, my brain slowly alerting me that I was approaching Hannibal Lecter levels of predation.

Mary-Kate’s eyes registered shock only briefly before she coolly replied, “Thanks. They’re vintage.” Her voice, exhausted but firm, temporarily jolted me out of my decades-long delusional reverie. I pulled my hand away like the earrings had been made of molten metal. Why was I touching her ear? She was a total fucking stranger to me. Sure, I knew her favorite color (“forest green, I guess”) and that she used to ride horses and that she really wanted a Price Upon Request Vintage Van Cleef lighter for Christmas in 2014. But so did most of these other women waiting their turn to talk to the twins, women who’d either grown up watching them sing halfheartedly about surfing or plied their daughters with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen mascara. All of us were, in one way or another, creepy strangers conflating pieces of property with people with heartbeats. I stepped back, pretended to admire one of The Row jackets that I’d have to give birth to a pair of complacent and charismatic twins to afford, and left the store a few minutes later.

Kesha’s New Appeal Proves She Isn’t Giving Up The Fight Against Dr. Luke

A month ago, Kesha’s bid for an injunction that would let her out of her recording contract with Dr. Luke was denied by a New York Supreme Court justice. Now, the pop singer and her lawyer have filed an appeal against that decision.

On Monday (March 21), Kesha and her attorney Mark Geragos filed papers seeking a second opinion from a New York appellate court, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“The Court erred in basing its decision on its finding that Kesha could record without interference from Gottwald,” Geragos wrote. “Although it recognized that ’slavery was done away with a long time ago’ and that ’[y]ou can’t force someone to work…in a situation in which they don’t want to work,’ the Court’s ruling requiring Kesha to work for Gottwald’s companies, purportedly without his involvement, does just that.”

Kesha is contractually bound to Dr. Luke’s record label Kemosabe Records and his publishing company Prescription Songs. Even if she were to make new music without Luke’s direct involvement, sales of her work would still financially benefit the man whom she alleges raped and abused her.

Judge Shirley Kornreich denied Kesha’s bid for an injunction on February 19, stating that there was no evidence of “irreparable
harm” done to Kesha by holding her to her contract.

Jake Gyllenhaal Straight Up Bombed His Lord Of The Rings Audition

It’s hard to imagine veteran actor Jake Gyllenhaal being told he’s a terrible actor by one of the most well-known directors in the business, but that’s exactly what happened.

Stopping by The Tonight Show March 21, Gyllenhaal revealed to Jimmy Fallon he totally and completely bombed his Lord of the Rings audition for Frodo. Like, we’re talking being incinerated by a Balrog kind of bombing.

Apparently, his agents were super stoked their client could audition to play a hobbit, but they sorta forgot to clue him in on some key aspects of the story. Gyllenhaal had two major flubs during his audition in front of director Peter Jackson:

1. He didn’t use a British accent.
2. He didn’t use any emotion when Frodo finds the ring.

Apparently, it’s not three strikes and you’re out, it’s two, because Gyllenhaal said Jackson literally face-palmed and told the (now Oscar-nominated, might I add) Gyllenhaal “was the worst actor that [Jackson had] ever, ever seen.” Ouch.

Thankfully, Gyllenhaal’s redeemed himself since that fateful day, starring in gems such as Prisoners, Nightcrawler, and Southpaw.
